Puertos del Estado has a new representative for the Almería Port Authority
- PdE's Corporate Manager, Magec Montesdeoca, has joined the Board of Directors of the Almería Port Authority
10-02-2019 (Ministry of Development). The Corporate Manager of Puertos del Estado, Magec Montesdeoca, has been designated as the new representative of the General State Administration on the Board of Directors of the Almería Port Authority.
Salvador de la Encina, president of Puertos del Estado, has informed Jesús Caicedo, president of the Almería Port Authority, of this change in the Board of Directors' composition.
Magec Montesdeoca is a graduate in Information Sciences. Since August 2018 he has directed the Corporate Management of Puertos del Estado. His competences include its relations, as a public body, with international entities and associations in the port sector, as well as organizing Spain's participation, under the 'Ports of Spain' brand, at logistics, cruise ship and nautical sports fairs, mainly in Europe, Asia and America. He is also in charge of Puertos del Estado's communication policy.
The removal and appointment of representatives acting for the General State Administration on the Board of Directors of port authorities is regulated by Article 30.2 of the Consolidated Version of the Act on State Ports and the Merchant Navy, passed by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2011, of 5 September.
Magec Montesdeoca is replacing Itziar Rodríguez, head of the Infrastructure Planning Area of Puertos del Estado, on the Board of Directors of the Almería Port Authority.
