Puertos del Estado and Miami-Dade explore possible collaborations

01/08/2019 (Spanish Ministry of Public Works and Transport). Spain and Miami strengthen relations and study possible collaborations associated with successful cases in the Port of Miami and in the ports of general interest of the Spanish State Port System.
In the work meeting held yesterday by Puertos del Estado and the Miami-Dade County delegation, logistical solutions were explored for the future development of this US port based on the experiences developed in Spanish ports.
Other points of common interest addressed by both delegations were related to the interconnection between port, airport, rail and road infrastructure, the efficient and rapid management of goods under Security and Safety criteria and adapting infrastructure to the sector's new challenges, both for the transfer of cruise passengers through the port and to service supercarriers.
The following individuals, among other people, participated in this first contact (from left to right, in the picture): Juan Kuryla, CEO of the Port of Miami; Álvaro Rodríguez Dapena, Director of Planning and Development of Puertos del Estado; Carlos Giménez, Mayor of Miami-Dade; Lester Sosa, CEO of Miami-Dade Airport; and Magec Montesdeoca, Corporate Director of Puertos del Estado.
Both delegations have been called to delve into these and other aspects in future meetings.
