Puertos del Estado, in conjunction with Port Authorities and companies, has cancelled its attendance at the Intermodal South America fair
- Strategic Framework meeting in Santander postponed.
03-12-2020 (Ministry of Transportation, Mobility and Urban Agenda). The public entity Puertos del Estado, in conjunction with 7 Port Authorities and 2 companies that intended to attend the Intermodal South America fair, the most important logistics event of those held in Latin America, following recommendations from the Ministries of Health and Transportation, Mobility & Urban Agenda, as a consequence of the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic, has decided not to attend the fair.
Likewise, the Port Authorities and Spanish companies, given the absence of large companies and key persons foreseen, have declared it adequate to cancel their presence there. All of this, in addition to the recommendations issued by the Government, advising against any trips that are not strictly necessary, explain its decision.
Nevertheless, given the haste in which this decision was taken, the "Ports of Spain" stand will still be present at the fair and will be covered by local staff, in order to provide information and assist potential visitors.
Likewise, Puertos del Estado has decided to postpone the event scheduled with the Port Authorities for 25 and 26 March in Santander, where an initial appraisal was going to be made of the contributions towards drawing up a new Strategic Framework for the Spanish port system.
