Puertos del Estado and the Marín and Ría de Pontevedra Port Authority agree on the 2020-2024 Business Plan

14-10-2020 (Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda) The President of Puertos del Estado, Francisco Toledo, held a meeting yesterday through videoconference with José Benito Suárez and Miguel Angel Navarro, President and Director, respectively, of the Marín and Ría de Pontevedra Port Authority, where they agreed on the 2020-2024 Business Plan, a period during which 35.2 million euros will be invested.
Among the most relevant actions to be undertaken are the improvement of draughts in the Adolfo Reboredo docks (5.3 million euros) and the extension of the New Commercial Dock (8.5 million euros).
The Port Authority announced that it will finalise its Strategic Plan during 2020 and draw up the concrete specifications for the cargo handling service.
José Benito Suárez commented that, in spite of having suffered a drop in port traffic as a consequence of the pandemic, the port will manage to close the year in a positive way.
The need to manage the water area of the Galician estuaries in a homogeneous manner was also analysed, for which a meeting will be arranged with the Directorate General of Coasts.
