Puertos del Estado advances its commitment to sustainable mobility for goods and passengers

November 18, 2024 (Puertos del Estado). Puertos del Estado will participate from November 19 to 21 in a new edition of the Global Mobility Call, highlighting the commitment of Spain’s state-owned port system to sustainable mobility.

Under the motto "Shared Course. Transforming today's ports to tackle tomorrow's challenges," Puertos del Estado and the state-owned port system will showcase at the event, alongside key national and international transport and logistics players, initiatives aimed at promoting more sustainable, digital, and innovative ports.

As part of the Global Mobility Call agenda, on Tuesday, November 19, Álvaro Rodríguez Dapena, President of Puertos del Estado, will take part in the roundtable "Critical Infrastructure for Integrated Mobility" alongside representatives from Adif, Aena, Renfe, and Ineco. The discussion will address topics such as infrastructure resilience to face challenges, decarbonization, and new technologies, which are key elements to improving the mobility of goods and passengers.

On Wednesday, November 20, Puertos del Estado will host the roundtable "Intermodal Transport: Efficient and Sustainable Mobility." Participants will include Jaime Luezas, Head of Community Services at Puertos del Estado; Manuel Martínez, Head of Technology at AP Huelva; Ruth Pablos, Head of Digital Transformation at AP Barcelona; Lidia Muñoz from Indra; and Bogdan Oldakowski, Secretary-General of the Baltic Ports Organization.
