Castro Cociñadoiro

The archaeological survey of the Castro de Cociñadoiro, discovered in Punta Langosteira, allowed us to learn about the ways of life of a community from the early Iron Age within the Castro culture. There is a project for the construction of a multi-purpose center and interpretation center for the castro.

Crane at Calvo Sotelo Pier

The Calvo Sotelo pier ceased its commercial activity in August 2022 and opened to public use. One of the cranes acquired in the 1980s and now disused remains there as part of the public space.

Gran Sol Fish Market

The Gran Sol Fish Market is a unique building in the port of A Coruña. It is currently not used as a fish market, but it maintains premises dedicated to the processing of fresh fish that is commercialized in the port.

AP Avilés

San Juan de Nieva Lighthouse

The San Juan de Nieva Lighthouse in Avilés began operating in 1863. The original building was almost square, with cornerstones, a cornice, and a front surrounding the initial ashlar door. In 1917, a room was attached to it, and later the building with the dwellings, a workshop, and a warehouse was constructed.

Busto Lighthouse

The Busto Lighthouse was inaugurated in 1847. It consists of a U-shaped building with one floor, with the lighthouse tower located in the central wing of the structure.

Luarca Lighthouse

The Luarca Lighthouse was inaugurated in 1862 and consists of the tower intended for the maritime signal and the former lighthouse keeper's house, nowadays used for storing utensils necessary for the maintenance of the maritime signal.

Tapia Lighthouse

The Tapia de Casariego Lighthouse entered into use in 1959 and is the westernmost of the Asturian lighthouses and the only one in the region located on an island, connected to the mainland via a 100 m long jetty.

Vidio Lighthouse

The Vidio Cape Lighthouse entered into use in 1959 and is located in a specially protected area called Entecabos Protected Landscape. It was one of the first lighthouses built in Asturias.

Industrial Chimney of Energy Fuel Asturias

The industrial chimney of Energy Fuel Asturias was built in 1917 as part of a coal agglomerate factory on the grounds of the San Juan de Nieva dock in the port of Avilés. It has a truncated cone structure with a diameter of about 0.50 meters and a height of 26.7 meters.

Church of San Juan de Nieva

The former Church of Our Lady of Carmen is located in the San Juan de Nieva dock of the port of Avilés. Its unique design dates back to 1944. It provided religious service for which it was intended until 2008, when it was deconsecrated.

Old Shipyard Building of Ojeda

The old shipyard building of Ojeda, located in the vicinity of the Fishing Village of Nieva, has historical value as a representative of an industrial typology that is disappearing today, that of the Shipyards of the Boat Carpentry.

AP Bahía de Algeciras

Fort of Isla Verde

The Fort of Isla Verde, built in 1735 following the loss of Gibraltar to defend the port, and whose original military function was abandoned over a century ago, is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

AP Bahía de Cádiz

Maritime Station of Cádiz

The Maritime Station of Cádiz was built in 1967 to serve the needs of passengers at that time. In 1994, two new floors were added to accommodate the Maritime Captaincy and the port control tower. In 2009, it was included in the inventory of Recognized Assets of the Andalusian Historical Heritage.

Trafalgar Lighthouse

The Trafalgar Lighthouse was first illuminated on July 15, 1862. The rehabilitation of the adjacent plot and access road is planned to provide an alternative use for the building adjacent to the lighthouse.

Portal de la Pau Building

The building located in Portal de la Pau Square is the headquarters of the Port Authority of Barcelona. Inaugurated in 1908 as a pier and restaurant, in 1918 the offices of the Port Works Board were moved to the building. It has been declared a property of urban interest.

The historic buildings of the floating dock basin, also known as the Levante Dock warehouses, consist of several facilities and warehouses that served this special basin dedicated to ship repair.

AP Bilbao

Sefanitro Loading Dock

The loading dock of the Spanish Nitrogenous Manufactures Society (Sefanitro) in Barakaldo began operating in the mid-20th century to connect the chemical industrial complex with the docking pier. It is in the process of being declared a Cultural Interest Site (BIC) in the monument category.

Orconera Loading Dock

The Orconera Iron Ore loading dock in Barakaldo started its service in 1877, simultaneously with the railway connecting the Nervión-Ibaizabal estuary with the Matamoros mines, to overcome the height difference between the railway tracks and the cargo ships' decks exporting the ore to Europe. It is in the process of being declared a Cultural Interest Site (BIC) in the monument category.

Arriluce Lighthouse

The building of the Shipwreck Rescue Station and Arriluze Lighthouse was constructed in 1920. Each facade has its own configuration, integrating elements from different traditions within the popular neo-Basque regionalism.

Bizkaia Bridge (Hanging Bridge)

The Bizkaia Bridge (Hanging Bridge) is the world's first transporter bridge. Made of metal and located in the Bilbao Estuary, between Getxo and Portugalete, it was inaugurated in 1893 to facilitate communication between the two towns without interrupting the navigation of one of the busiest naval ports in Europe at that time.

Marina Command Headquarters

The building of the former Marina Command Headquarters in Ferrol was constructed in 1931 and maintained that use until the early years of the 21st century. Its rehabilitation has allowed the integration of the semi-basement floors with the offices of the Port Authority of Ferrol.

Stained Glass of the Tower of Tazones Lighthouse

Stained glass built within a wrought iron structure finished in an arch, with glasses of various shapes and colors, allowing the passage of light into the interior of the tower on the north face of the Tazones Lighthouse.

AP Melilla

Maritime Loading Dock

The old mineral loading dock was built in 1925 to introduce minerals and coal cargoes. It consists of a 313-meter-long dock and a viaduct for loading belts and an elevated ship. It is part of the Historic-Artistic Ensemble of the City of Melilla and is a Cultural Heritage site.

Silver Lighthouse

The Silver Lighthouse is located on Mount Ulía, on the western side of the entrance to the port of Pasaia, and its name comes from the toponym "Frontón de la Plata," a large cliff of the mountain facing the sea that served as a guide for boats.

The history of the Jetty Palace begins with a project from 1920 to integrate the offices of the port commissioner, a waiting room reserved for the royal family, as well as the port's meteorological station. Today, it is used for hosting events, conferences, and exhibitions.

The building of the headquarters of the Port Authority of Seville was constructed in 1943. The central body stands out, topped with a square-shaped tower with a sloping tiled roof.

Alfonso XIII Bridge

The Alfonso XIII Bridge was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII on April 6, 1926, with the passage of the Buenos Aires cruiser. It is a 170-meter-long metallic structure, whose central movable section consists of two leaves.

AP Tarragona

Archaeological Site of Cal-lípolis

Cal-lípolis was an ancient city in the Tarraconensis province, now located on the grounds of the Port Authority of Tarragona, where Iberian and Roman remains have been found. The oldest remains date back to between the 2nd and 1st centuries BCE. The most monumental part of a luxurious villa located by the beach dates back to the 2nd century CE.

Torre d'en Virgili

The Torre d'en Virgili is a defensive tower from the 16th century. It is a characteristic construction related to the need for protection against pirate raids or Saracen expeditions. There are also bunkers in its vicinity and tunnels from the Civil War.

AP Valencia

Royal Staircase

The so-called Royal Staircase is a trapezoidal staircase built in 1895. In the late 1970s, it was hidden by infrastructure works in the Grao Wharf, and there is a recovery project that would allow its installation in a location that does not interfere with port activities.

Monumental Crane of Unión Naval de Levante

A crane built in 1929 by the Unión Naval de Levante for use as a floating crane. Ceasing its activity, in the 1980s, it was placed between the Customs and Grao docks of the inner basin of the port of Valencia for its monumental character.

A set consisting of five parallel workshops of 100 meters in length, former machinery and carpentry workshops, and gantries; and two cranes from the former Unión Naval de Levante.

AP Vilagarcía de Arousa

Corrubedo Lighthouse

The Corrubedo Lighthouse was built in 1853 to signal the entrance to the Muros estuary. It is located in a rocky environment from where you can observe the dunes of the Corrubedo Natural Park. It possesses significant historical and architectural interest.

The Monte Louro Lighthouse, located at the Queixal point, at the mouth of the Muros estuary, was built in 1861, and its first lighting took place on July 15, 1862.

Punta Cabalo Lighthouse

The Punta Cabalo Lighthouse on Arousa Island is one of the smallest lighthouses in Galicia. It has a history of over 150 years and retains its original design, although it has undergone some improvements in its light that have hardly affected its structure.

Rebordiño Lighthouse

The Rebordiño Lighthouse was built in 1907 and inaugurated in 1909 to reinforce the lighting of the Louro Lighthouse and thus facilitate entry to the port of Muros.

Rúa Island Lighthouse

The Rúa Island Lighthouse, a rocky islet in the middle of the Arousa estuary, was first lit on March 18, 1869. Built by the engineer who designed the Ons Island lighthouse, it is practically identical in structure, layout, and shape to the original Ons lighthouse, which disappeared in the 1902 reform.
