Single Window

Puertos del Estado is the designated body in Spain to operate and manage the Single Maritime Port Window established in accordance with Directive 2010/65/EU. The Single Window is conceived as the only point where information to be declared on the occasion of a ship's call at a Spanish port is communicated just once. Puertos del Estado provides the necessary information to the competent Spanish authorities, other Member States, and European authorities such as EMSA. The Port Authorities serve as the local access points to the national window. In order for the systems to be interoperable and compatible, Puertos del Estado establishes the formats for making information available, as well as the syntax and structure of electronic exchange messages, and the necessary Business Rules and procedures. This section includes User Guides for different messages and process flows, and the applicable Business Rules and Procedures for interaction with Port Authorities and the National Single Window.
