
The president of Puertos del Estado visits the Port of Valencia and meets with the Port Community
Álvaro Rodríguez Dapena, the president of Puertos del Estado, engages in discussions with representatives and executives of the Port Authority of Valencia and the Port Community.
Álvaro Rodríguez dedicates the entire Wednesday to strengthening, on-site, his relationship with Valenciaport, touring the expansion of the Port of Valencia, the Border Control Post, and other port facilities.
Valencia, January 12, 2022 - The president of Puertos del Estado, Álvaro Rodríguez Dapena, visited the Port of Valencia today and held meetings with the executives of the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), led by its president, Aurelio Martínez, and with representatives of the Port Community. During the meeting, they delved into the challenges and opportunities for Valenciaport in the coming years in areas such as infrastructure, the environment, digital transformation, or the city-port relationship, among others.
Tour of the expansion
The president of Puertos del Estado toured the facilities of the port area, where he verified some of the strategic projects for the Port of Valencia, such as the northern expansion, where the new container terminal will be located. He also visited the Border Control Post and other port facilities.
Additionally, he held a meeting with members of the port and logistics community operating in the Port of Valencia. Present at this meeting, besides both presidents, were Francesc Sánchez, general manager of the APV; Néstor Martínez, deputy to the director of the APV; Sven Valentin from MSC Valencia Terminal; Elías García from COSCO Valencia Terminal; Carlos Arias from APM Terminal; Antonio Crespo from Valencia Terminal Europa; Vicente Boluda, president of the Valencian Shipping Association (ANV); Ignacio Ballester, president of Consignees of the ANV; Gustavo Ferrer, president of Dockworkers of the ANV; and representatives of the new passenger terminal, Adolfo Utor (Baleària), and the new northern container terminal, Francisco Lorente (MSC Spain).
The president of Puertos del Estado announced that he will also visit the port facilities of Sagunto and Gandía, where he will meet with representatives of the port and logistics community of these ports.
