
Puertos del Estado launches a new call for Pre-Commercial Projects under the Puertos 4.0 Fund

December 26, 2024 (Puertos del Estado). The Puertos 4.0 Fund, managed by Puertos del Estado and the Port Authorities, has announced a new call for funding Pre-Commercial Projects with a budget allocation of €11.25 million. This initiative aims to attract, support, and facilitate innovation in the logistics and port sector by promoting disruptive technologies and improving processes, products, and services in this field.
With this new call, the Puertos 4.0 Fund strengthens its commitment to the technological transformation of the sector, fostering both public and private investment. The funding is aimed at supporting projects that introduce technological or applied innovations, adding value to the Spanish port ecosystem.
The current call will remain open for three months, allowing companies and sector groups to submit their proposals through the Puertos del Estado electronic office.
Since its launch in 2020, the Puertos 4.0 Fund has already financed 131 innovative projects across three categories (Ideas, Commercial Projects, and Pre-Commercial Projects) with a total of €30 million. Additionally, progress continues on evaluating proposals submitted under the December 28, 2023, call for Ideas and Commercial Projects, with a budget of €6.75 million. Final resolutions for these proposals are expected shortly.
The Puertos 4.0 Fund has become a key tool for advancing maritime transport and port logistics in Spain, contributing to its international competitiveness.
