Pilar Parra Serrano

Pilar Parra is a Doctor of Civil Engineering specialized in Transportation from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She began her professional career as a Production Manager in the private sector. In 2006, she started working at the Port of Melilla, where she served as the Head of the Infrastructure Division and the Head of the Exploitation and Planning Department until being appointed as the Director of the entity in 2012.

In 2017, she joined Puertos del Estado as the Head of the Exploitation Area, and in 2018, she took responsibility for the Business Plans and Budgets Area until her appointment as Corporate Director of the entity in December 2020. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Valencia and has previously served in the Port Authorities of Melilla, Ferrol, Las Palmas, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

She has been part of the Governing Board of the Technical Association of Ports and Coasts and RETE, the Association for Collaboration between Ports and Cities. Additionally, she has actively participated as a speaker in numerous conferences and has written articles in various specialized media in the sector.
