Performing port activity involves using natural resources such as energy, water or coastline. On the other hand, this activity produces waste that, if appropriately managed, may enter chains for increasing its value and become a material or energy resource.
Energy and water consumption and the percentage of waste with increased value are indicators that appear in the Sustainability Reports by all of the Port Authorities, and these indicators are likewise presented annually in the Company Plans along with goals for improvement.
